Week 1

Yesterday marks the end of my first week of my lifestyle change. I've been feeling pretty good. Not much in the way of hunger or cravings. We've been to the movies twice and I've had little trouble resisting my favorite - movie theater popcorn. For the most part, I've had little trouble maintaining the schedule too. Once or twice I struggled with getting enough food. I did not go into Monarch for a weigh-in, but plan on it on Monday. My home scale says I am down ten pounds this morning. It made for a great motivator today!! Went to the Duck game (sad loss to USC - boo) and didn't even have a problem eating according to plan. A big thanks to David for splitting a wrap and supporting me all week. Marching on...

Here We Go Again...

Today was my clinic visit. I have been weighed and measured, but not found wanting. Tomorrow is the grand kick-off of the Monarch program. The goal - half my current size before my 40th birthday. A sensible and reasonable goal I've been assured by trained medical staff. My first goal is to loose 25 pounds. Then comes some sort of celebration. 11/11/11 seems like an auspicious start date. I have vitamins, the medicine, the helpful snacks and smoothies. I have the journal and helpful hints. I have the motivation, just need the will power. Oh well, we'll fake that until we make it. So here we go on another journey, fasten your seatbelts - this could get bumpy.
